Terms of Use
FamilySlate · Last updated September 29, 2026
The short version
FamilySlate is two companion apps — FamilySlate Calendar and WholeHome FamilySlate — built to bring calm, clarity, and cooperation to every family. These terms are the plain-language agreement between you and FamilySlate when you use them.
Your account
Each person uses FamilySlate through their own account. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details private and for the activity on your account. Adults in a family are responsible for the accounts and permissions they set up for children and guests.
Your family's content
What your family puts on the slate — events, notes, scanned pantry items, photos, meal plans, and reminders — belongs to your family. You give us permission to store it and to show it to the people you invite, so the apps can do their job. We don't use your family's content for anything else, and you can export or delete it at any time.
Acceptable use
FamilySlate is built for families coordinating real life, and it may only be used for lawful, family purposes. By using the apps, you agree that you will not:
Use FamilySlate to break the law, or to store, share, or plan anything illegal — including content that exploits or endangers children, threatens or harasses anyone, invades another person's privacy, or infringes someone else's rights.
Use another person's information without their permission, try to access a family or household you have not been invited to, or scrape, harvest, or copy other users' content.
Misrepresent who you are, add yourself or others to a slate without their knowledge and consent, or use the apps to stalk, monitor, or control another person.
Interfere with how the apps work for everyone else — including attempting to break security measures, overload our systems, or reverse-engineer the service to build a copy.
If these terms are broken
We may suspend or end the account of anyone who seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. Where use of FamilySlate appears to involve illegal activity, we may preserve the relevant information and report it to law enforcement when the law requires or permits us to.
Because family life involves children, we take reports about a child's safety extremely seriously. If you believe a family slate is being used to harm a child, contact us immediately using the address below.
Availability and changes
We work hard to keep FamilySlate dependable, but no service is perfect: the apps are provided as they are, and we can't promise they will never be interrupted. We may add, change, or retire features over time — if we retire something significant, we'll give you reasonable notice and a way to take your information with you.
Ending your use
You can stop using FamilySlate and delete your family's information at any time. We may end these terms for an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks them, after notice where possible.
